Guided walking tours of Frankfurt

We offer private guided walking tours in Frankfurt for individuals and groups up to 25 people. These tours can be tailored and are perfect for corporate events, families and study trips alike.

Prices start at £125 for a group of up to five people on a 90 minute tour. Our rates will depend on the group size and the duration of the tour. 

Tours are simple to arrange by contacting WALK FRANKFURT using the contact form. You'll be sent a response within 24 hours confirming whether a guide is available for your tour, at which point a deposit is requested to confirm the booking. Deposits can be made using the payment link on this website. On the appointed day and time your guide will come and meet you at the agreed place. 

The balance payment must be paid in cash (€) to the guide on the day, or in advance via bank transfer or credit card following an email reminder sent 72 hours before the tour.
E.g. a 2 hour tour is booked for three people = €160. A €40 deposit has been paid, therefore a balance of €120 will need to be paid.

Deposits are refundable as per the terms and conditions.

  • The majority of tours have good accessibility with occasional steps, and some buildings have narrow entrances. However, these do not prevent completion of the tour. Please read on for specific details:

    The Heidelberg Castle tour is not recommended to those with accessibility constraints due to steep terrain and a high volume of steps.

    The Mainz tour has one steep section leading up to St. Stephan’s church, and a narrow path on route to the citadel.

    St. Paul’s church in Frankfurt, has steps leading up to the main entrance ‍and upon entering the main hall.

    Wiesbaden has a set of steps at the Schützenhofquelle, leading up to Coulinstrasse. There is a car parking entrance at this location and it is possible to enter the car park and use the lift to go up to Coulinstrasse.

  • Yes. In Germany it is impossible to avoid cobble stones, so make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes.

  • Once purchased, audio tours are not refundable. However, tours are valid indefinitely, so you can take the tour at any date, gift it to someone else, or enjoy a tour via virtual playback.

  • Yes, all the tours have lots of walking and are perfectly doable with a dog. However, some buildings may restrict pets (with the the exception of guide dogs) so check upon entering.
